Welcome to PromptPal ("PromptPal", "we", "us", or "our"). PromptPal provides an AI-powered prompt workspace, including the Prompt Store (browse and discover public prompts), your private prompt library and collections, Refine and security scanning, Personal Brain (connected-tool context and generated prompt intelligence), Team Workspaces (shared collaboration without a full organization), organization workspaces and governance features where available, and a Chrome browser extension (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
1. Introduction
These Terms govern your access to and use of PromptPal. Feature availability may depend on your subscription plan and product configuration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use PromptPal.
By using the Services, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account using:
- Email and password, or
- Third-party authentication (e.g., Google OAuth)
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
4. Chrome Extension Usage
The PromptPal Chrome Extension helps you analyze and refine prompts on supported AI websites when you initiate those features.
Extension permissions
The extension may request access to:
- Active tabs (only when you use extension features)
- Selected or highlighted prompt text you choose to process
- Extension storage (for preferences and privacy consent)
PromptPal does not:
- Monitor your general browsing activity
- Collect data outside user-initiated actions
- Access passwords, payment data, or unrelated private content
You must accept the in-extension privacy notice before data collection. Extension use is subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (Section 3).
5. Personal Brain and Third-Party Integrations
Personal Brain lets you optionally connect third-party accounts (such as Notion, GitHub, Slack, Linear, Jira, Gmail, Outlook, Zendesk, Fireflies, Otter, or Zoom, as offered in the product) so PromptPal can sync read-oriented context and suggest reusable prompts and templates.
- You connect each integration voluntarily and may disconnect at any time from your dashboard
- You represent that you have the authority to connect each workspace and that your use complies with the third party's terms of service
- You must not connect data you lack rights to share, or use integrations to scrape, exfiltrate, or misuse others' information
- PromptPal processes imported content solely to provide Personal Brain and related features described in our Privacy Policy
- AI-generated templates and recommendations are provided "as is" and may not comply with your employer, client, or third-party policies — you are responsible for review before use
6. User Content (Prompts and Inputs)
You retain ownership of text, prompts, and other content you submit ("User Content"), subject to the licenses below.
By using the Services, you grant PromptPal a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and display User Content solely as necessary to:
- Provide and operate the Services you request
- Generate refinements, scans, and Personal Brain outputs
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce these Terms
- Back up and sync your content across devices and the Chrome Extension where applicable
PromptPal does not sell User Content or use it for third-party advertising. This license ends when you delete applicable content or your account, except where retention is required by law or described in our Privacy Policy (e.g., billing records or copies others saved from public prompts).
7. Prompt Store and Public Content
You may choose to publish prompts to the Prompt Store or set visibility to public or team as supported by the product.
- You represent that you have the right to publish User Content you make public and that it does not violate law or third-party rights
- For public or team-visible content, you grant other users the right to view, fork, and use that content within the Services according to the visibility you select
- Removing or changing visibility does not automatically remove copies another user already saved to their library
8. Team Workspaces and Organizations
Team Workspaces
- You may create or join team workspaces to collaborate on shared prompt libraries without a full organization account
- Content you add to a team workspace may be visible to other members according to their roles
- Team owners and administrators may invite or remove members and manage workspace settings
- You represent that you have the authority to share content you post to a team workspace
Organizations
If you use organization workspaces, you acknowledge that:
- Organization administrators may manage members, roles, shared libraries, policies, and connected org knowledge features where enabled
- Content you submit to an organization may be visible to administrators and members according to product permissions
- If you act on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms
Your organization may have separate policies that also apply to your use of PromptPal.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use PromptPal for illegal, harmful, or abusive activities
- Publish illegal, infringing, or misleading content to the Prompt Store, team workspaces, or organization workspaces
- Misuse connectors (unauthorized access, credential sharing, bulk scraping, or exfiltration of third-party data)
- Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the Services
- Interfere with system security or performance
- Violate third-party rights or applicable law
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Subscriptions, Trials and Payments
PromptPal offers free and paid plans. Plan limits (such as refinements per month or template caps) are described at checkout and in-product.
- Billing is handled by third-party payment processors.
- We do not store full credit card details.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Subscription terms are displayed at checkout.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time.
PromptPal may suspend or terminate access:
- For violation of these Terms
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect the platform or other users
Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
PromptPal and its branding, software, and design are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without written permission, except as expressly allowed by the product (e.g., forking public prompts per Section 7).
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- AI-generated refinements, templates, and recommendations may be inaccurate or incomplete — you are responsible for reviewing outputs before reliance
- The security scanner provides automated signals only and does not constitute professional security, legal, or compliance advice
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the Services will meet your specific requirements
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PromptPal shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services, including reliance on AI outputs, connector sync, or public prompts.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are interpreted in line with:
- EU users: GDPR-aligned data protection principles
- United States users: applicable federal and state privacy laws, including state consumer privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, where applicable)
- Nigerian users: Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)
- Other users (outside the EU, United States, and Nigeria): applicable local laws where required
For users located in the United States, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your state of residence require otherwise.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
